The Centre for Strategic Communication Excellence (CSCE) is proud to recognise Adrian Cropley OAM, FRSA, IABC Fellow, SCMP as a Fellow of the Centre, acknowledging his outstanding global contribution to the communication profession and his role as Co-founder of CSCE.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Adrian is widely regarded as one of the most influential leaders in strategic communication. As CEO of Cropley Communication and Co-founder of CSCE, he has played a pivotal role in building communication capability across organisations worldwide, helping position communication as a strategic, value-creating function.
A recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM), Adrian has been recognised internationally for his leadership and service to the profession. As Global Chair of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), he led the development of the Global Standard for the Communication Profession and the IABC Career Roadmap—frameworks that continue to shape professional practice globally.
He continues to influence the global direction of the profession as a Director on the Board of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. More recently, Adrian has emerged as a leading voice on the responsible use of artificial intelligence in communication, driving global conversations on ethics, governance, and the future of the profession.
Through CSCE, Adrian has led the development of communication academies and training programs for organisations including Unilever, Nokia, Ambulance Victoria, and Greater Western Water, empowering thousands of professionals to operate as trusted advisors to leadership.
His career includes leading major organisational transformation and change communication initiatives across industries, from establishing global internal communication frameworks at Ericsson to guiding large-scale change programs for complex organisations.
Beyond his professional achievements, Adrian has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to community service, including his work with Sacred Heart Mission and leadership of the “Dine with Heart” initiative supporting people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
