The A-Team: Why Comms Leaders Must Act Now on AI, Data & Social

In this webinar, we explored how communication professionals can stay relevant and lead with confidence in a world rapidly shaped by artificial intelligence, data analytics, and evolving social platforms. Joined by an exceptional panel – Asha Oberoi, Adrian Cropley, and Alex Manchester – we unpacked everything from AI governance and ethical implementation to audience targeting, automation, and building the right measurement frameworks. If you’re navigating the tension between innovation and responsibility, or simply want to sharpen your strategic edge, this conversation is a must-watch.

As mentioned during the webinar, we’re running an important survey right now in collaboration with the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management and Reputation Lighthouse, about Responsible AI in our profession. Please take a few moments to share your views. The survey explores how AI is evolving in public relations and communication, with a focus on ethics, responsibility, and the role of professionals in shaping its impact.

Join our free monthly AI Forum. It’s a relaxed, inclusive space to connect, ask questions, and explore how AI is influencing the way we work—as individuals and as a profession. Whether you’re just getting started or already experimenting with AI tools, you’re welcome here. Bring your curiosity, your insights, and your questions.

Our next webinar, Quiet Voices, Loud Impact: Rethinking Internal Communication for an Introverted Workforce, is coming up next month. If today’s conversation about AI, data, and social media got you thinking about how we communicate and who we might be overlooking in the process, this next webinar will offer a fresh perspective on creating space for quieter voices to thrive.

Take Our AI in Public Relations and Communication Survey

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management has partnered with the Centre for Strategic Communication Excellence (CSCE) and Reputation Lighthouse — on a Responsible AI survey to understand the AI evolution better as it pertains to the Public Relations and Communication profession.

We want to uncover how professionals address ethical and responsible AI and benchmark professional insights and influence. This information will be used to prepare for the Global Alliance AI Symposium in Venice in May in conjunction with the Global Alliance’s Annual Meeting and European Regional Council Meeting. Based on this survey data and the AI Symposium, we will update the Global Alliance’s Guiding Principles for Ethical and Responsible AI and connect the dots to the Global Alliance’s Responsible Communication Movement. So, this is your opportunity to have a voice in this critical advocacy for our profession.

Your feedback is invaluable. By participating, you are contributing to research that will help define the next chapter of excellence in strategic communication.
